Susan Mallery on Just One Kiss

I love Just One Kiss!!  Always love returning to Fool's Gold. It is like returning home!! I love starting my summer reading a new Fool's Gold book!!  I love the relationship between Patience & Justice. I love Felicia, too.  She is something, but I think she would be a great friend.  Always there for you no matter what & that is the type of girlfriend we all need.  I love Lillie.  Patience has raised a sweet little girl & she should be proud of herself.

Looking for a great book.  I recommend Just One Kiss!

Catching up: Day 2 of Cheering from Just One Kiss

 photo justonekissday2_zpsc32028e6.jpg

This is a bad photo.  Sorry!!  Just One Kiss is in the center top of the photo.  My husband & I took our kids to our one grocery store.  My children make a habit of checking the books for Susan's books.  "Look Mommy there is the book you are reading " says Noah.  Of course, they helped me put the bookmarks into the books!

We finished our shopping.  Happy Reading!

Best Kiss Ever (Blog Hop)

 photo Bloghop_zpsbb2bf96b.jpg
I just wanted to say thank you for coming to our Blog Hop.  I hope you are enjoying reading everyone's Best Kiss Ever.  I really hope you join us in our Blog Hop.

In honor of being a Fool's Gold Cheerleader, I wanted to do something wonderful to get the word out about Susan's Mallery's new book, Just One Kiss that just was released.  What a better way to do it than a Blog Hop!!  It is a party on the internet.  We-Cheerleaders- hope you will join us, too.  Get those fingers typing on your blog then come back to this HERE to add your link.  It is that simple.  Just make sure that you are blogging about our theme: Best Kiss Ever.

Off to My Best Kiss Ever.

Let's Go back a step.  How I met my husband.

No, we are not high school sweethearts.  No, we did not meet in high school like Patience & Justice did in Just One Kiss.  We went to different high schools.  I almost went to Shawn's high schools, but we moved out of the city where Shawn went when I was in after I was in 8th grade.  We moved to the country.  I always wondered what if we did not move.  What if we moved to another house in the same school district?  Would I met Shawn or one of his friends then him?  Do you know that I knew one of his friends in college?  Yuck, I dated him, too!  (That is for another blog post)

When I was in college, I took a job at a grocery store during breaks.  My best friend, Sandy, was dating, a guy name Tim (She married him 3 weeks after I married Shawn--Our daughters are 10 days apart, too!!)  Well, Tim wanted to set me up with Shawn.  I was dating this guy at the time so I said no.  Eventually, I did say yes.  I told Sandy that go ahead & set me up with Shawn.  We met on a blind date.  No photos, etc.  Our first date was this Carnival here.  When I was young, I went to it all the time.  Well, we were only there 10 minutes.  Yes, 10 minutes!!  Just say when you are a child you see things differently!! We went back to his place & watched movies.

My second kiss with Shawn or maybe it was the third was magical.  Hey, I have to think back almost 20 years here.  I can still remember it like it was yesterday.  It was that kind of kiss that catches your breathe.  That stops you in your tracks.  I knew then that this guy was something special.

I hope you join us in our Blog Hop about "Best Kiss Ever"

Blog Hop: Just One Kiss Excerpt

I could not fit this within the Blog Hop Post so I am putting it here.
The Theme of the Blog Hop is "Best Kiss Ever."

Here is the Just One Kiss Excerpt:

Patience opened her eyes as she tried to regain her balance. Warm, strong arms came around her. Justice pulled her so close, she had no choice but to settle against him. One second she was in danger of falling and the next she was staring up into his dark blue eyes. Her head was still spinning, but this time for a very different reason.
She rested her hands on his shoulders because it seemed the most sensible place for them to be. She saw sunlight streaming through the bare windows and tiny dust motes floating in the air. Felt her heart beating too quickly and the intensity of Justice's gaze.
Then he was lowering his head. She had only a second to catch her breath before his mouth brushed against hers.
His lips were firm. Not unyielding, exactly, but determined. He was taking charge and under the circumstances, she was good with that. She'd had enough responsibility in her life, thank you very much.
He moved his mouth slowly, gently, exploring, testing, as if he enjoyed what he was doing. She sank into him, giving herself up to the delicious pressure.
She hadn't been kissed by a man in a long time. Years, actually. She'd nearly forgotten the thrill of the closeness, the quivering in her belly, the hint that there could be more and that the more could take her breath away.

Exclusive: Just One Kiss, a Fool's Gold romance

I love listening to Susan Mallery talk about her books.  Have you watched this video?

Melissa

Day 1 of Cheering!!

Happy Day!!  Today has finally arrived!! I can not believe that it is the end of May.  My older 2 kids will be out of school before I know it.  My first stop was Sam's Club.  I was so surprised.  Last year they had the most books, but this year they had zero.  I was told they downsized their books because their books were not selling.  They went from their book shelves to a table.  I spoke with a couple at Walmart, who brought all of his books at Sam's Club and now they have to go to Walmart so they are not very happy about it.  Sam's Club was not a wasted trip.  My daughter will be 13 next week so I ordered her cakes (yes cakes) & her cupcakes for her class.  I need 2 cakes because of  her actual birthday & the day of her surprise party.  Before I left I talked to a friend of Shawn's family & talked about Just One Kiss.  I gave out some goodies!

The next stop was Walmart.  Love stopping here because of the Book Rep, Linda.  We talked about Susan Mallery.  I told her about Just One Kiss, the Bodyguards!!  I told her about Sam's Club & she told me how she was downsized a little, too.  While I was there, I was chatting with some customers, & handing out bookmarks.

I brought Noah a book about a Military Working Dog & his handler.  Noah can not wait to read it.  I thought maybe he might want to read it with Shawn.  I am trying to get him excited about reading again.  Noah lost some interest, but I know he will get it back.

My last stop was Target.  I did not have much time there because I had to get home to get Shawn and Ethan before we got Ash & Noah from school.  Shawn's car broke down on Sunday & it was ready at the shop.  I had to pick up a few things at Target.  Target is the only store I have seen that has the New @ sign.

I had a great day cheering on my own!!!  If you pick up Just Once Kiss, let me know.  I get points.  I would love to talk about the book.  What you love?  Who is your favorite character?

Night all!  I am off to read more of Just One Kiss.  By now, I am using done with it, but I have been reorganizing my house for summer.

Just One Kiss comes out Tuesday!!

Just One Kiss comes out Tuesday, May 28.  Have you pre-ordered it?  I have.  This book is so good.  I got an advance copy since I am a Fool's Gold cheerleader.  Let me know if you pre-ordered it.  I get points for it.  Most importantly I want to chat about the book.  I do not want to get away any spoilers for those who have not read the book yet.  I want to know what you love about the book!  Tell me!  Us cheerleaders want to know.

So, onto the book that is coming out finally:

Just One Kiss
Coming Soon: May 28, 2013
Just One Kiss (Fool's Gold, #11)
According to Goodreads, "He won't hesitate to put his life on the line...but will he ever risk his heart?
Falling for Justice Garrett was a high point in Patience McGraw's otherwise awkward adolescence. Even after he disappeared, Patience never forgot the boy who captured her heart. Now, he's back in Fool's Gold, California, and her passion for him is as strong as ever. But how can she trust that he won't abandon her again-and her daughter, too?

When bodyguard Justice Garrett was a young man, witness protection brought him to this idyllic town and he never forgot its warmth, or the sweet beauty of his childhood friend. He's returned to open a defense academy, and the Patience he once knew is all grown up. He can't resist her smile, or her curves. But Justice's past doesn't make him husband, or father, material.

Patience and Justice think they'll succumb to just one kiss... Then one more... Okay, just one night together. But they might learn that falling in love is beyond anyone's control."

I have not posted a review yet, but I will once I finish reading it.  I have been reading the series called Cedar Cove by Debbie Macomber so I can get ready for the tv series this summer.  It is another series I love.  What can I say?  I fell in love with series with Susan Mallery!!

Keep on Reading!!
