Almost Perfect: Fool's Gold Book #2

Almost Perfect by Susan Mallery is Book #2 in the Fool's Gold Series.  I thought I would take this time to introduce the books in the beginning of the series for those who have not read any of the books. If you have not read this series, you can start here or exactly anywhere in the series.  Susan Mallery wrote this series as Stand Alone books so you do not need to read them in order.

Liz drops everything to go be with her nieces. I really admire that in Liz.  She knew what this meant for her & her son, but she had to be there for her nieces. I think Liz should had tried harder to tell Ethan about their son, but I understand why she did not. She was young. She saw Ethan with someone else.   She was scared.

Synopsis: (From Goodreads)

Devastated and pregnant, Liz leaves town. Now, years later, she must return and face the man who doesn't know of their son's existence. Original.

Here are some quotes from Goodreads

“Love is always enough.”

“Sometimes you have to accept how things are. You can make it easy on yourself, or you can make it hard. The choice is yours.”

“When did you get all insightful?" he asked.
"I have no idea," Josh admitted.
"I don't like it."
"Me, either. Makes me feel like a girl. Don't tell anyone."

“Pepper spray," he said, lightly touching her back. "Give it a second."
"Pepper spray?"
"You were a casualty of your own rescue."
He pointed and she turned to look at the scene behind her. Over a dozen old ladies were beating the man with their purses and dousing him with pepper spray. Several police officers hovered nearby, as if they couldn't get close enough to help the guy. They didn't look like they were trying very hard.
"What kind of sicko pervert are you?" one woman demanded. "Liz Sutton is one of us. You try to hurt her, you answer to all of us. You got that?"
"Seniors to the rescue," Ethan told her.”
