I won a copy of Christmas on 4th Street from Harlequin Holiday Giveaway. I already have this so what should I do with this copy once I get it?
Here is the description of the book from Goodreads:
There's nowhere better to spend the holidays than with New York Timesbestselling author Susan Mallery in the town of Fool's Gold, where love is always waiting to be unwrapped... Noelle Perkins just got a second chance at life, and she intends to make the most of every minute. That's why she ditched a frustrating legal career to open her own store in Fool's Gold, California. The Christmas Attic celebrates everything that's magical about her favorite season. Business is booming, and as a bonus, gorgeous army doctor Gabriel Boylan has offered to help out during the holiday rush.
Gabriel's memories of Christmas past contain more sour grapes than sugar plums, thanks to a drill sergeant father who ran his home like a boot camp. Spending the holidays with his family while he recuperates from injury sounds as appetizing as last year's eggnog. Still, there are some enjoyable distractions in town, including sunny, sexy Noelle...and the red-hot mistletoe kisses they can't stop sharing.
Gabriel didn't think he was made for happily-ever-afters. But when fate hands you a love as sweet and surprising as this, only a fool could refuse...
Comment below if you think I should have another Giveaway!! It is a really great book.

I just wanted to say thank you for coming to our Blog Hop. I hope you are enjoying reading everyone's Best Kiss Ever. I really hope you join us in our Blog Hop.
In honor of being a Fool's Gold Cheerleader, I wanted to do something wonderful to get the word out about Susan's Mallery's new book, Just One Kiss that just was released. What a better way to do it than a Blog Hop!! It is a party on the internet. We-Cheerleaders- hope you will join us, too. Get those fingers typing on your blog then come back to this HERE to add your link. It is that simple. Just make sure that you are blogging about our theme: Best Kiss Ever.
Off to My Best Kiss Ever.
Let's Go back a step. How I met my husband.
No, we are not high school sweethearts. No, we did not meet in high school like Patience & Justice did in Just One Kiss. We went to different high schools. I almost went to Shawn's high schools, but we moved out of the city where Shawn went when I was in after I was in 8th grade. We moved to the country. I always wondered what if we did not move. What if we moved to another house in the same school district? Would I met Shawn or one of his friends then him? Do you know that I knew one of his friends in college? Yuck, I dated him, too! (That is for another blog post)
When I was in college, I took a job at a grocery store during breaks. My best friend, Sandy, was dating, a guy name Tim (She married him 3 weeks after I married Shawn--Our daughters are 10 days apart, too!!) Well, Tim wanted to set me up with Shawn. I was dating this guy at the time so I said no. Eventually, I did say yes. I told Sandy that go ahead & set me up with Shawn. We met on a blind date. No photos, etc. Our first date was this Carnival here. When I was young, I went to it all the time. Well, we were only there 10 minutes. Yes, 10 minutes!! Just say when you are a child you see things differently!! We went back to his place & watched movies.
My second kiss with Shawn or maybe it was the third was magical. Hey, I have to think back almost 20 years here. I can still remember it like it was yesterday. It was that kind of kiss that catches your breathe. That stops you in your tracks. I knew then that this guy was something special.
I hope you join us in our Blog Hop about "Best Kiss Ever"
I could not fit this within the Blog Hop Post so I am putting it here.
The Theme of the Blog Hop is "Best Kiss Ever."
Here is the Just One Kiss Excerpt:
Patience
opened her eyes as she tried to regain her balance. Warm, strong arms
came around her. Justice pulled her so close, she had no choice but to
settle against him. One second she was in danger of falling and the next
she was staring up into his dark blue eyes. Her head was still
spinning, but this time for a very different reason.
She rested her hands on his shoulders because it seemed the most
sensible place for them to be. She saw sunlight streaming through the
bare windows and tiny dust motes floating in the air. Felt her heart
beating too quickly and the intensity of Justice's gaze.
Then he was lowering his head. She had only a second to catch her breath before his mouth brushed against hers.
His lips were firm. Not unyielding, exactly, but determined. He was
taking charge and under the circumstances, she was good with that. She'd
had enough responsibility in her life, thank you very much.
He moved his mouth slowly, gently, exploring, testing, as if he enjoyed
what he was doing. She sank into him, giving herself up to the
delicious pressure.
She hadn't been kissed by a man in a long time. Years, actually. She'd
nearly forgotten the thrill of the closeness, the quivering in her
belly, the hint that there could be more and that the more could take
her breath away.

Remember that boy from high school, the one who you thought
about while listening to romantic songs on the radio, by yourself, in the dark,
sobbing because he didn’t return your feelings? Remember how seeing him in the
hallways at school made your breath catch in your throat? And if he caught your
gaze and smiled at you, your spirits soared.
Remember him?
What if he was your best friend? And what if you went to his
house before school one day so you could walk together as you always did… only
he was gone?
Gone-gone. The doors were open, the closets were empty, and
you never saw him again. He just… disappeared.
That’s what happened to Patience McGraw when she was a teen.
As JUST ONE KISS begins 15 years later, Patience is at work in a salon in
Fool’s Gold, California when Justice returns.
"Patience?"
She didn't recognize the male
voice, but turned anyway. A man stood in the entrance of the shop. He was tall,
with dark gold-blond hair and deep blue eyes. His shoulders were broad and he
had the kind of face that would be happy up on a movie screen. Nice, but she
had no idea who he...
She felt the cape flutter to the
floor as she really looked at the man moving toward her. He was a few inches
taller, a lot more muscular, but his eyes... They were exactly the same. They
even crinkled when he smiled at her.
"Hello, Patience."
She was fourteen again, standing
in that empty house, more scared than she'd ever been in her life. There hadn't
been any answers. Not then or since. No solution to the mystery. Just questions
and a gnawing sense that something had gone terribly wrong.
"Justice?" she asked,
her voice more breath than sound. "Justice?"
He gave her a slight shrug. The
familiar gesture was enough to send her flying across the shop. She flung
herself at him, determined to hang on this time.
He caught her against him and
held on to her nearly as tightly as she held on to him. He was warm and solid
and real. She pressed her head against his shoulder and inhaled the scent of
him. A clean, masculine smell that had nothing to do with the boy she
remembered. This wasn't happening, she thought, still dazed. Justice couldn't
be back.
Yet he was, and here. But the
man was very different from the boy and the moment got awkward quickly.
Justice has returned to Fool’s Gold to open a bodyguard
academy with a few of his ex-military buddies. (This is Fool’s Gold, where we
go light on danger and heavy on humor, charm, and fun, flirty romance.) Justice
leapt at the chance to return to the town that took him in at a very tense
point in his life, and he was eager to see Patience again, his sassy, beautiful
friend.
She’s just as open-hearted as she was back then, unstained
by the darkness in the world, darkness he lives with every day. The moment
Justice holds her in his arms, he vows to protect her from himself. Patience is
everything good and pure in the world, and he won’t ruin that. She draws him
like sunlight on a cold day, but though he can’t resist the need to be near
her, to kiss her, he won’t allow himself to fall in love.

Happy Day!! Today has finally arrived!! I can not believe that it is the end of May. My older 2 kids will be out of school before I know it. My first stop was Sam's Club. I was so surprised. Last year they had the most books, but this year they had zero. I was told they downsized their books because their books were not selling. They went from their book shelves to a table. I spoke with a couple at Walmart, who brought all of his books at Sam's Club and now they have to go to Walmart so they are not very happy about it. Sam's Club was not a wasted trip. My daughter will be 13 next week so I ordered her cakes (yes cakes) & her cupcakes for her class. I need 2 cakes because of her actual birthday & the day of her surprise party. Before I left I talked to a friend of Shawn's family & talked about Just One Kiss. I gave out some goodies!
The next stop was Walmart. Love stopping here because of the Book Rep, Linda. We talked about Susan Mallery. I told her about Just One Kiss, the Bodyguards!! I told her about Sam's Club & she told me how she was downsized a little, too. While I was there, I was chatting with some customers, & handing out bookmarks.
I brought Noah a book about a Military Working Dog & his handler. Noah can not wait to read it. I thought maybe he might want to read it with Shawn. I am trying to get him excited about reading again. Noah lost some interest, but I know he will get it back.
My last stop was Target. I did not have much time there because I had to get home to get Shawn and Ethan before we got Ash & Noah from school. Shawn's car broke down on Sunday & it was ready at the shop. I had to pick up a few things at Target. Target is the only store I have seen that has the New @ sign.
I had a great day cheering on my own!!! If you pick up Just Once Kiss, let me know. I get points. I would love to talk about the book. What you love? Who is your favorite character?
Night all! I am off to read more of Just One Kiss. By now, I am using done with it, but I have been reorganizing my house for summer.
I can not believe that the Fool's Gold Cheerleadering has officially begun!! Susan Mallery has a new release of the Fool's Gold series releasing tomorrow called Just One Kiss.
If you online or buy a copy, please let me know, you will be helping me get points during my Cheerleading season, thanks.
Any questions, just ask me!! I will be happy to answer them!!
Just One Kiss comes out Tuesday, May 28. Have you pre-ordered it? I have. This book is so good. I got an advance copy since I am a Fool's Gold cheerleader. Let me know if you pre-ordered it. I get points for it. Most importantly I want to chat about the book. I do not want to get away any spoilers for those who have not read the book yet. I want to know what you love about the book! Tell me! Us cheerleaders want to know.
So, onto the book that is coming out finally:
Just One Kiss
Coming Soon: May 28, 2013
According to Goodreads, "He won't hesitate to put his life on the line...but will he ever risk his heart? Falling
for Justice Garrett was a high point in Patience McGraw's otherwise
awkward adolescence. Even after he disappeared, Patience never forgot
the boy who captured her heart. Now, he's back in Fool's Gold,
California, and her passion for him is as strong as ever. But how can
she trust that he won't abandon her again-and her daughter, too?
When
bodyguard Justice Garrett was a young man, witness protection brought
him to this idyllic town and he never forgot its warmth, or the sweet
beauty of his childhood friend. He's returned to open a defense academy,
and the Patience he once knew is all grown up. He can't resist her
smile, or her curves. But Justice's past doesn't make him husband, or
father, material.
Patience and Justice think they'll succumb to
just one kiss... Then one more... Okay, just one night together. But
they might learn that falling in love is beyond anyone's control."

I almost did not do the contest to be a Fool's Gold Cheerleader, but something told me that I had to. I am so glad I listened to that little voice in my head (Thanks little voice! lol) because I have had the time of my life. Someone told me that this is something that is my. With 3 kids, nothing is ever just my! She is right! My food is not my! So, when I decided to do this, I realized this is something for me! Like I said, I almost did not do this, but now I am so happy I did.
From the end of May to the end of June, I lost 20 lbs. Whoo hoo!! It is because of all the walking I did while I was "cheering" I am disabled & live with chronic back pain. Being a Fool's Gold Cheerleader gave me hope to get moving. One of the Cheerleaders said "Guess all our cheers have gotten you moving more." Thank you JoAnne! I think she is right! The Cheerleaders are Awesome. Jenel, Susan, & the fellow Cheerleader motivates you. Michele motivated me to write a book about our struggles on raising our daughter with a chronic disease (#4).
I am going to do the 10 things that happened to be while I was a Fool's Gold Cheerleader. You ready?
10. Learned how to use Rafflecopter!
9. Having my first Giveaway!
8. Talking about my favorite author was easy!!
7. I met lots of Susan Mallery fans this summer!!
6. Still want to move to Fool's Gold, but now I wish Susan (& Jenel) could make the town. Ladies, could you have someone build it? Yes/No. Us cheerleaders would be happy to move there! What do you say Cheerleaders? I say YES!! I think Susan would make a great Mayor Marsha, knows all, sees all!
5. I have an idea for a Romance book!!
4. Decided to write about our Struggles with our daughter's disease & how it affects our family.
3. Moving more! -This is very important with being disabled & living in pain. -Something that my pain management doctor has been telling me to do for awhile now.
I wonder what Montana in "Only His" would tell me to do with my son's uncontrollable husky puppy, Bolt! He has been getting better since we got him.
This photo of him was taken at the vet's office & I was playing with in Paint Shop Pro.
What Bolt does:
1. He jumps over you when you sit on the couch at times.
2. He jumps on you when you come into our home.
3. He put his paws into his water bowl!
4. He slides the small area rug in the hallway to the front door!
5. He has messes at times on the second floor or in Ethan floor. I am trying to get a gate made by my carpenter. I have to get that area measure by Shawn tonight!!
6. I am training him to sit (he can do that), down (we will start that tomorrow), stay, lay, come.
I think Montana would tell me to be patient with Bolt, to give him time, not to yell, & don't punish. Not sure what Montana would tell me about the water bowl! Bolt does not stand when he drinks water. He lies to drink! Take him out every hour. I think Montana would love the blocking that area & Limiting him to one floor! I think Montana would love that I am training Bolt to sit, down, stay, lay, & come.
